How to get around Greece

The best transportation depends on which destination you are in. In Athens we recommend walking or Uber/taxi. In Mykonos, you can get by by bus and walking, and in Santorini, we recommend renting a buggy to traverse across either side of the island.

Is Greece Safe?

Greece is very safe! It's a popular tourist destination with friendly locals. The beach destinations, in particular, feel very safe and laid back day and night. Athens is also very safe, but like a big city, it can have certain alleyways you can't steer away from. Most of the fun bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions are in extremely safe and comfortable neighborhoods.

A few safety tips we have included for this itinerary:
  • Don't drink and drive.
  • Drive carefully as the roads are smaller and windier in some destinations. Some roads are not meant for walking.
  • Keep an eye on your belongings.
